Discovering Agile Contracts

This research work seeks to clarify questions about agile contracts and how to draft them: what they consist of, what goals they pursue and what principles they are based on. It starts from traditional contracts in order to analyze why they can prove inadequate for certain projects.

  • Chapter 1, «Project management», develops some basic concepts on the difference between traditional and agile management, which are needed to tackle the topics that follow.

  • Chapter 2 defines what agile contracts are, with an emphasis on understanding which needs they respond to. Reading it is recommended before moving on to chapter 3, which discusses how to draft agile contracts.

  • Chapter 4 presents a compilation of all the models and clauses considered agile. They appear in alphabetical order, with a brief description of each one and the advantages and drawbacks they may entail depending on the circumstances.

  • Chapter 5 goes into more detail on strategies and tools for negotiating and applying agile contracts, based on the bibliographic sources consulted.
