An increment is a slice of value that is finished, tested and ready for the customer to use. It is not "eighty percent done": it is "done". What is missing when something sits at "eighty percent" for weeks —testing, review, documentation, deployment— are not details: they are the definition of done, the barrier that separates "a lot has been generated" from "something of value has been delivered". With intelligent assistance the distinction matters more than ever: generating is the fast part; finishing is still the work, and the sign-off on "done" is human.
