Agile product operating model

Distinguish a product operating model from a methodology or a process, name the five dimensions it orders —structure, funding, governance, metrics, and culture— and argue why they must change coherently; recognize the shift from the project model to the product model as a continuous effort and detect when an organization has merely renamed projects as products.

2) Outcomes over outputs

Assign teams problems to solve and outcomes to achieve instead of feature lists, reformulate an output-based request in terms of problem and outcome, and argue why the falling cost of output —with AI among its causes— increases, rather than reduces, the importance of governing toward the outcome.

3) The two reference formulations and their divergence

Situate the two reference formulations —Cagan/SVPG's Product Operating Model and Scrum.org's Agile Product Operating Model—, identify their broad common core and their points of divergence, including that of the very adjective "agile", and attribute a specific practice or claim to the formulation it comes from.
